Three members of the pgEd team had a great time on a recent trip to St. Louis, MO, to share our resources and talk with teachers from all over the country at the National Association of Biology Teachers annual conference. pgEd’s Director of Community Engagement, Fabienne Mondesir, presented our lesson about gene editing and CRISPR to a packed room of teachers who were able to engage with both the scientific content and the ethical questions that gene editing raises.
Fabienne, Florcy and Lauren tended a booth and spoke with with hundreds of teachers and gave away over 1000 copies of pgEd lesson plans. It was wonderful to hear about what is important to teachers and students from around that nation, and to share our curriculum with so many new people.
